May 18-20 - Nobel Middle School’s Family Fun Night at Subway
Our next Family Fun Night will be a Family Fun Weekend at two Subway locations. That’s right, the Subway on Devonshire and the one on Rinaldi will be supporting Nobel for a whole weekend starting on Friday May 18th and continuing until they close on Sunday May 20th! Come and enjoy good food with great company while helping to raise money for our school. Both Subway locations will donate a portion of the proceeds for all sales made with a Nobel flyer. Extra flyers will be available in the main office or you can click here to view and print a flier. Don’t miss out on another exciting Family Fun Night. Mark your calendars; see you there! Subway, Eat Fresh!

May 20 - Nobel Middle School Book Fair at Barnes and Noble
Nobel needs your help! We are in desperate need of new novel sets. We’ve all experienced it, when we are assigned a novel to read and the book we receive falls apart! Come out to our Barnes and Noble Book Fair on Sunday, May 20th from 11:00 am till 6:00 pm. You can purchase a new book for our school or something for yourself! Barnes and Noble will donate a portion of all purchases made with a Nobel Flyer right back to our school. If you purchase a book for Nobel, we will put a book plate in your donated book to acknowledge your generous gift to our school. But, don’t just come to shop, there’s going to be a lot of other great things going on! Come and listen to Nobel students playing music in the café, watch a sneak peak of Seussical the Musical in the center of the book store, and listen to Mr. Horowtiz, Ms. Arana, Mr. Bauer, Ms. Shiff, Mr. Richard, Ms. G., Ms. Tomlinson, and many other teachers and staff read some of their favorite stories. What’s that you say? Can’t make it on the 20th? No problem! You can support the Book Fair online by following the directions printed on your Nobel Flyer. Extra copies of the flyer will be available in the main office or click here to view and print a flier. Don’t miss out on a great opportunity to have fun and help our school. Mark your calendars for Sunday, May 20th! See you there!

Nobel DRUMLINE #1!

Congratulations to our very own Nobel MS drumline champions!
A very hard fought season but the drumline brought home the gold and put Nobel Nighthawks on the map!
We would like to thank Mr. Espinosa and percussion instructors - Julio Diaz II and Dalia Bermen for all their hard work.

We are number 1 and the 2012 ADLA Champions for Junior highs in Southern California!

May 31-June 2: SEUSSICAL - Spring Drama Production

The Nobel Middle School Theater Arts Department presents SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL! Based on the creative imagination of Dr. Seuss, SEUSSICAL is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Produced and directed by Fanny Araña and Jean Martellaro, this energizing musical centers on the touching story of Horton the Elephant, who finds himself faced with the challenge of protecting his tiny friend Jojo (and all the invisible Whos) from a world of naysayers and dangers. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him, the only one who recognizes "his kind and his powerful heart." Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant; in a story that makes you laugh and cry. 

Bring the entire family to see SEUSSICAL at Nobel Middle School in Northridge. Show times are May 31, June 1, and June 2 at 6:30 pm with a special Saturday matinee on June 2nd at 2 pm. This is a fundraising performance; donations will be accepted at the door. Don’t miss this magical and colorful production of SEUSSICAL!

Purchase your copy to preserve your memories.  It also makes great gift! Buy now for $35.00 and save $5 so you won't be left out when it arrives in June. There will be a change starting on February 4 as the yearbooks wil cost $37.00, there will be only a $3.00 savings from February 4 through May 2012

New Volunteer Opportunities
Go to our link on the left menu bar to see how you can help. All volunteers, old and new that come to Nobel on a regular basis must report to the Main Office to fill out a Volunteer Form and to find out if they need to get a TB Test this year. TB Test are good for 2 years.

NEW! Online Meal Application

Parents and guardians can submit a meal application online starting July 1, 2011. The application will be processed within 24 hours, and you will not have to fill out a paper application and mail it or hand it over to the Food services Manager at your child’s school. By clicking on the link you can access the online meal application.  Apply Now

Click on the ENGLISH /ESPANOL tab above and choose the language you would like to use. In order to complete the application you will need:

  • Names, Dates of birth and school names for all LAUSD students including any income information for them, if they have an income.
  • Names of all other household members with their income information.
  • Last 4 digits of the Social Security Number of person submitting the application or indicate “I do not have one” if you do not have a Social Security Number.
  • Just follow the instructions and provide the information being requested.
  • Lastly after the final review, click on the submit tab and finish the application.
